Job Description:

Department: Food and Beverage

Reports to: F&B Supervisors, Restaurant Manager, Director of Restaurant Operations

Direct Report: Restaurant Manager

Purpose: To assist in the operations of Food & Beverage. Will function as an attendant on roof top pool deck area for the Servers, Bartenders and the MOD. Will tend to any tasks needed, allowing Servers to maximize guest experience. Assist the servers in clearing and resetting tables to help prevent guests waiting to be seated. Supply guests with towels as needed

It is necessary that associates have the ability to multi-task and deliver outstanding service outside of their primary responsibilities listed on their job description.

Essential Functions:

¨ Stock plastic ware in service areas

¨ Filling and replenishing ice in service areas

¨ Clearing tables, running bus buckets to kitchen, organizing dirty dishware to assist dishwasher, and resetting used tables with appropriate linen, glassware, silverware, menus, and tableware

¨ Work closely with servers and bartenders to efficiently provide service to those waiting for a table to be seated at

¨ Assist service staff with any restocking of food products, utensils, or table set-ups during busy times

¨ Stock clean towels and bring dirty towels to laundry

¨ Maintain cleanliness by washing trays, wiping down all doors, chairs, tables, and surfaces in pool area, cleaning lounge chairs, organizing service area, sweeping and quick-mopping floors when needed, wiping down menus, etc.

¨ Change out beverage products, i.e. beverage syrups, fresh fruit, and assisting in changing out kegs and soda

¨ Follow hygiene guidelines and adhere to company uniform and standards of appearance policy

¨ Must be knowledgeable in all menu items

¨ Provide courteous service to our guests and be cordial to all team members.

¨ Communicate effectively to guests and co-workers

¨ Assist servers and bartenders in greeting, directing and seating food and beverage guests

¨ Impart to the customer warmth and graciousness, much as you would give a guest in your own home

¨ Clean and maintain all working areas and equipment.

¨ Complete designated side work efficiently and thoroughly

¨ Undertake all reasonable tasks requested by supervisors

¨ Represent a positive working liaison with all other members of the kitchen and front of house staff

¨ Complete all listed opening and closing checklists, cleaning checklists, and duties related to shift

¨ Close out and check out with manager once shift is complete

¨ Practice cleanliness and safety in all dining areas, liquor and wine storage areas

¨ Participate in daily staff meetings and department training meetings

¨ Assist in training new employees and helping others

¨ Assist team members as needed to promote a positive teamwork environment

¨ Assist in trash removal and proper removal of broken glass

Hotel Specific Essential Functions:

¨ Ability to stand for 8 hours’ length of time

¨ Ability to walk and/or stand approximately 90% of shift

¨ Ability to lift 50 lbs.

¨ Ability to bend frequently during a shift

¨ Ability to repetitively use manual dexterity

¨ Ability to perform repetitive range of motion

¨ Ability to move quickly based on needs

¨ Ability to reach overhead and lift repeatedly

¨ Ability to read, write, understand and speak English

Technology and Equipment:

¨ Automatic dishwasher

¨ Time Keeping System

Working Environment:

¨ Hotel property with approximately 100 guest rooms

¨ Work will primarily take place in kitchen, all back of house areas, and F&B service areas

¨ Group and solo work

¨ Practice and observe all safety procedures

¨ Interior of hotel, in all areas with exposure to extreme temperatures

¨ Exterior of hotel, including roof top lounge, with exposure to sun, heat, cold, and changing weather conditions

¨ Exposure to various hazardous chemicals according to SDS Right to Know law.
