Purpose: Provide outstanding service and perform day-to-day beverage activities of banquet beverage service.

It is necessary that associates have the ability to multi-task and deliver outstanding service outside of their primary responsibilities listed on their job description.
¨ Organize and maintain consistent liquor inventory
¨ Communicate inventory needs to appropriate managers
¨ Participate in and be knowledgeable of wine lists
¨ Participate and be knowledgeable of seasonal/daily cocktail list
¨ Assist in developing innovative drinks for guests and bar menus
¨ Able to pour and/or mix consistent beer, wine, and liquor beverages
¨ Assist in consistently training staff of proper pours and techniques
¨ Ensure proper set up of restaurant or banquet bars and preparing for all needs
¨ Prepare garnishes and drink ingredients prior to shift
¨ Coordinate and participate in teamwork with servers to provide exceptional service
¨ Provide a welcoming, friendly environment for associates and guests
¨ Encourage up-selling when communicating food and beverage options to guests
¨ Operate smoothly and calmly under pressure and stress
¨ Trained in and enforcing TIPS liquor service guidelines
¨ Abide by all rules and regulations set forth by the state of Massachusetts
¨ Adhere to all company uniform and standards of appearance guidelines
¨ Understand and execute emergency, safety, and first aid procedures
¨ Maintain proper sanitation of bar areas and surrounding restaurant areas
¨ Report all accidents and safety hazards
¨ Ensure a safe and hygienic work environment
¨ Behave at all times in a manner which projects a good company image
¨ Independently manage cash drawer and perform closing duties
Hotel Specific Essential Functions:
¨ Ability to stand for 8 hours’ length of time
¨ Ability to lift 50 lbs.
¨ Ability to bend frequently during a shift
¨ Ability to repetitively use manual dexterity
¨ Ability to move quickly based on guests’ needs
¨ Ability to read, write, understand and speak English
Technology and Equipment:
¨ POS System - Aloha
¨ Inventory Systems
¨ Time Keeping System
¨ Cash Drawer
¨ Hotel property with approximately 100 guest rooms
¨ Work will primarily take place in the function space
¨ Group and solo work
¨ Practice and observe all safety procedures
¨ Interior of hotel, in all areas with exposure to extreme temperatures.
¨ Exterior of hotel, including roof deck lounge, with exposure to sun, heat, cold, and changing weather conditions
¨ Exposure to various hazardous chemicals according to SDS Right to Know law.
