Job Description:

 Department: Maintenance

Reports to: Manager

Purpose: To provide maintenance assistance and skilled efforts in public areas, food and beverage areas, kitchen, grounds, and facilities areas. Address functional and/or aesthetic issues and repair as needed.

It is necessary that associates have the ability to multi-task and deliver outstanding service outside of their primary responsibilities listed on their job description.


Essential Functions:

¨ Organize, review, and prioritize daily checklist of tasks to be completed per room per day

¨ Guarantee maximum production and property satisfaction with minimum outlay of expenses in terms of labor and materials

¨ Ability to prep areas and apply interior paint, sanding, wallpaper application/repair as well as basic furniture and equipment repair

¨ Ability to climb and carry ladders

¨ Ability to take direction from Facilities Manager/General Manager and yet work independently as a self-managing unit to complete all tasks required

¨ Maintain a clean, organized and safe working environment

¨ Perform duties requested of the Manager and Banquet Captain including the transportation and set up of banquet tables, chairs, bars, etc.

¨ Ability to shovel and sand/salt sidewalks and public walkways

¨ Work effectively with other maintenance personnel in a positive, professional manner

¨ Dependent upon the weather, maintain safe walking areas for all guests and associates (activity required may include shoveling snow, raking leaves, addressing debris. Must play the primary role in Snow Removal in winter (including supervising outside contractor duties).



Specific Essential Functions:

¨ Ability to stand for 8 hours’ length of time

¨ Ability to lift 80 lbs.

¨ Ability to bend frequently during a shift

¨ Ability to repetitively use manual dexterity

¨ Ability to move quickly based on needs

¨ Ability to reach overhead and lift repeatedly

¨ Ability to read, write, understand and speak English

Technology and Equipment:

¨ Power Tools and handheld tools

¨ Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook

¨ Electronic/Mechanical gauges (thermometers, pressure gauges, etc.)

¨ All room equipment, including vacuum cleaner, wallpaper steamer, carpet shampooer, etc.

¨ Sanding equipment

 ¨ Ladders, scaffolding, and support systems, machine operated lifts

 ¨ Snow removal tools and chemicals

 ¨ Time Keeping System

Working Environment:

 ¨ Work will primarily take place at all interior and exterior parts of the building, to include all grounds, parking lots, driveways and sidewalks

 ¨ Group and solo work

 ¨ Practice and observe all safety procedures

 ¨ Interior of building, in all areas with exposure to extreme temperatures.

 ¨ Exterior of building with exposure to weather conditions

Experience and Skills:

Intermediate maintenance skills required.

Flexible availability required.

Full Time.

Must have previous maintenance/general labor experience.

Hospitality experience preferred.
